10U-18U Girls & 12U-15U Boys Tryouts for the 2025-2026 SeasonĀ

As our Starz program continues to grow, we made adjustments on how teams were formed, back in 2024. We will have two tryouts, one on Friday, July 11th & the second will be our traditional tryout on September 14 for grade school & November 2, for high school

We will be offering spots in our program to athletes after each tryout, but actual team rosters will not be formed until two weeks after regular practices have started. We recommend athletes attend the early tryouts, but athletes who can't make the early tryout are welcome to come to the traditional tryout. 

For the third season, we are offering an opportunity to play on a National team for an extended season. A tryout will be held for those teams towards the end of our regular season. Those teams will compete in the AAU nationals in Florida in June, and, or other national level tournaments. Our plans are to register for AAU Nationals in Florida early in the season, so the spots are reserved. Any Starz player who had a higher than 90% attendance during the regular season, will be eligible to try out for those teams. We likely will only field one team per age division.

After the tryout evaluation, parents will be sent an email, letting them know if their daughter, or son, is being offered a spot in our Club. Registration instructions will be included in that email.

Tryout Results

We updated roster offers on Tuesday, July 15, 10:15 PM. Families of girls, or boys offered a spot must register by Wednesday, July 16, 11:59 PM. We expect to make additional offers over the next 24-48 hours.

If registering in person, our office is open 9:30 AM-9:00 PM and is located on the north side of Flodin Boys & Girls Club, 998 S. Lyford Rd. Rockford. 

  • Season Registration Fees: Includes two 2-hour practices per week, regular season events, through March 8 for 11's, through April 5 for 12's, 14's & 16's, through April 12 for 13's, 15's & 17-18's and through March 8 for the boys. 
  • Season fees are $798.00 plus custom sublimated uniform if needed for 10U & 11U girls, $898.00 plus custom sublimated uniform if needed for 12U girls, and $998.00 plus custom sublimated uniform if needed for 13U-18U girls and 12U-15U boys. Payment plans, with up to five to eight monthly payments are available. The number of payments offered, is determined by the date of the tryout. Early tryouts, offer more months to complete the fees. 
  • AAU and/or USAV Membership: Players of all teams will need to be AAU Members, which is $22.00 for the year. Players on teams playing in USAV Events, will need USAV Membership, which will be $60.00 for the year. These charges are in addition to the player registration fees. 
  • Custom sublimated uniforms $115.00 if needed, includes jersey & spandex (girls) or shorts (boys). Players with a uniform from the 2024-25 season, do not need a new uniform. Please check to make sure the uniform fits & is in good condition prior to registering.
  • A 2.8% credit card fee, plus $1.00 transaction fee is added to all credit card payments. To avoid this fee, we have extended our office hours & will accept full payment by check, money order, or cash in our office, but must still be submitted within 24-hours of roster posting.
  • ONLINE PLAYER REGISTRATION:
    • Register and pay the fees in full
    • OR set up an online payment plan of up to eight monthly payments, determined by the date the athlete is being registered
    • Registration payment terms are 15% of player registration fee at time of registration, plus AAU Membership fees ($22.00) and uniform ($115.00) if needed. Players with uniforms from the 2024-25 season, that fits and is in good condition, do not need to purchase a new uniform.

  • 11's end with Rockford event March 8
  • 12's, 14's & 16's end with Wisconsin Dells April 5 event
  • 13's, 15's & 17's end with Wisconsin Dells April 12 event
  • Boys Season starts week of November 3 & ends by March 8

Refund Policy

Prior to the start of each season, we commit player registration fees to fund our operating budget, which includes, but is not limited to practice facility rent, facility maintenance, event registration fees, staff wages, insurance and other administrative expenditures. Because of this, refunds for player registration fees are not issued after an athlete is registered for a season, unless we are unable to field the team. Payment for uniform and practice reversible will be refunded, if the uniform and/or practice reversible is unused and returned to our office within seven days of the purchase.
